Crackerjack Lectures
Crackerjack Lectures are 20-minute student-run presentations that provide our department with an opportunity to connect and learn more about research being conducted by graduate students. These sessions provide students with a platform for practicing their public speaking and an opportunity to receive feedback from other department members. Additionally, a committee of faculty members and students will select a winner for the G. Vladimersson Award for the best student presentation. It’s a $100 cash prize and a great award to have under your belt! Presenting at the Crackerjack Seminar also fulfills the PhD speaking requirement.
If you would like to participate in the Crackerjack series, please contact our Crackerjack Coordinator, Elizabeth Patterson ([email protected]). Don't be shy, we'd love to hear from you! This is a great opportunity to engage your peers and share your research with them.
Crackerjack Lectures will be held Friday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 pm in Buller 207.
